Application Engineering

From what a customer needs a machine to do, to a first design package: parts, checks, a bill of materials and a model.

Prototype First built for an industrial prospect · 2026

A request arrives as a few sentences: what has to move, how far, how heavy, how often. It becomes a written requirement with the open questions listed, candidate parts researched with the published figure behind each claim, checks against the requirement, a bill of materials, an assembled model, and a report that says plainly what is still preliminary. For a whole cell, such as palletizing or tending a machine, an AI engineer asks the application's first questions, then proposes the cell for a person to accept. Part of Aximyr, Tesryn's engineering platform, since October 2026: its industrial cell module.

The moment it earns its keepAn enquiry that would have waited a week for an engineer's first look comes back the same afternoon with the parts, the open questions and a model to discuss.

What it proves we can do

Five things it does.

01

A requirement you can check

Loose wording becomes a written requirement, with every open question listed for the customer.

02

Candidates with their sources

Each part it proposes carries the published figure it relied on.

03

Checked before it's proposed

Reach, load and fit are checked against the requirement, and a failed check is shown, not hidden.

04

A package, not a guess

Bill of materials, assembled model and report in one place, ready for an engineer to review.

05

A whole cell, proposed

It asks the first questions, then lays out a cell around the robot; a person accepts it or swaps the robot.

What it shares with the rest of the Lab.

The same things we know how to do keep coming back in different industries. This is where this one sits: what it proves, and what else proves the same thing.

A description becomes real parts Numbers in, manufacturable geometry and engineering limits out, the same way every time. Also proved by Magnetic Digital Twin, CAD Workbench.

Every claim traced to its source Nothing is asserted without the passage, part number or measurement behind it. Also proved by Podcast Maker, Engineering Library, Reconstruction Research Studio, Part Finder, Research Benchmark, Research Runtime.

Search that explains itself Loose human wording in, ranked results out, each saying what matched and what differs. Also proved by Engineering Library, Part Finder.

A person approves before it's real Automation can prepare anything and finish nothing. The last step is always a person. Also proved by Tesryn Signal, Podcast Maker, CAD Workbench, Reconstruction Research Studio, Command Center, Tesryn Launch.

The whole map — six sections, and everything that proves them.

  • Everything it writes is preliminary until a qualified person reviews it, and the report says so on its first page.
  • It never calls a design safe or compliant.
  • A limit only a person may set is never accepted by the AI engineer for them.

What it isn't. Not an engineering approval, a safety assessment or a release for fabrication. An engineer still signs the design.

We'll tell you what it can do. Not how it's built.

Yours would be your own build, on your systems, and you'd own it outright: code, documentation, no lock-in. What we bring to it is the practice — we've solved this shape of problem before, so you're not paying for the first attempt. The method stays ours. And if what you need isn't here at all, that's the usual case — it's how every skill on this page started.
